Kick off your day bright and early at Zaya Hostel, where you'll meet your guide, driver. Today marks the beginning of your Central Mongolia adventure, starting with the Mini Gobi Mini Gobi offers a tranquil contrast with its serene landscapes. Spend the afternoon ascending the sand dunes, capturing the breathtaking views. Absorb the serene beauty around you! Although not part of your package, we highly encourage you to undertake a Bactrian camel ride. The latter part of the day is yours to wander freely. You may encounter nomadic herders tending to their goats, sheep, and horses, offering a glimpse into their simple yet enchanting lifestyle in this tranquil enclave.

  • Depart Elsen Tasarkhai and embark on the scenic drive to the Orkhon Valley. Enjoy the changing landscapes and glimpses of nomadic life. Settle into your ger. Visit the Orkhon inscriptions, significant ancient stone monuments that mark the legacy of the Turkic and Mongol empires.
  • Afternoon: Explore the ruins of ancient Uighur and Mongol capitals, learning about their historical context and significance.
  • Evening: Participate in a cultural exchange session with local nomadic families. Learn about their lifestyle, traditions, and the modern challenges they face.

Exploring Kharkhorum, the ancient capital of Mongolia, offers a unique glimpse into the country's rich historical tapestry. Visit the Erdene Zuu Monastery, the oldest surviving Buddhist monastery in Mongolia, to explore its temples, stupas, and museum. Learn about the monastery’s history, its survival through the communist purges, and its role in contemporary Mongolian spirituality. Explore the ancient ruins of Kharkhorum, including the remains of the imperial palace and the Great Stupa.
